    Perplexity of Article Marketing.

Most article directories are little good for anything but white hat back links. Some do get traffic. usually those allow two links in the resource box. Have one go to a landing page on the site, not necessarily the home page. the 2nd to and article in a blog you put in a directory of the site with a clone of the article (or in my case spun to 70% uniqueness). The article on site is a tad longer with a call to action linking to the home page, the page on site containing the solution and any other relevant page on site.

It is my understanding that a blog in a directory is seen as the same site as the customer's site and one in a sub directory is not. I haven't figured which way is better to do yet. Maybe someone here has?

Yes, Article marketing is a great way of getting traffic to any website. It also essential for the SEO of any website. As you told article directories allow to put 2 links in their resource box, you need to do your back linking properly. I think you can use 1 link to your landing page and 1 link to your Web 2.0 sites. As web 2.0 sites link back to your main websites, you can generate more traffic by doing this also. Many SEO experts are doing web 2.0 for generating traffic. Hope this helps. Also share your experiences.

A excellent approach to advertise a product, service, website, or blog is to use article marketing. Article marketing is exactly what it sounds like: it's selling oneself through articles. This is a fantastic approach to promote your products and services, but if you want to increase brand awareness offline, you may use promotional products, flyers, custom banner signs, newspapers, and other methods.
