I think foam. It is more modern type.

Each type has its pros and cons. You need to read a couple of articles about them and you will understand which to buy.

Each type has its advantages and disadvantages. For example spring mattresses have low cost and good durability(between 7 and 10 years). But they also have poor back support and do not distribute your body weight evenly. Foam mattresses are better in this characteristics, so I recommend to choose them https://sleepmentor.net/best-memory-foam-mattress/.

It's quite important to choose the right one to sleep well but I also think that it's not a good idea to overpay. Some models are crazy expensive but not that comfortable to pay so much.

When you are pregnant, it doesn't really matter which mattress you will use, it will be amazingly uncomfortable to sleep in any way. The only thing you can do is using a maternity pillow which can really make it better.
