Re: Game thread
Umm... hmm. Trying to think of the last time I played a game on my laptop. I play them all the time on my gaming desktop... and I don't play the games anymore where I used to run a mule on my work desktop at the same time... like Freelancer.
Consoles? You know, I was a big console gamer when Intellivision came out. I had an NES... but after that, when I really started to get into computers and computer games, I forgot to look back. Today, I've got access to a PS3, but I don't like the controllers. I don't like how imprecise it is to aim and shoot. I mean, I watch my friends who are very good at playing their PS games do OK and spend a ton of ammo in games like Defiance.... but I'm precise and on the mark when I play the same exact game on PC. They watch me play on the PC and agree that it almost seems unfair that it is so much easier to aim with the mouse.
Then there are the games. I mean, many of them I see on console are great.... but I seem to really be into the kinds of games you tend to only see on PC.
So... no favorite laptop game, and no, I don't prefer console. Sad those were the only two choices.

I am playing just the same games I played most of my gaming life, these are: world of Warcraft, Heroes, Osmos, and mr bets casino on iOS. Those I just mentioned must be the most popular games in the world.

Re: Game thread
Hmm, good question; there are so many that stand out.
I think the game that stands out as the best I've ever played is The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess. Intended as a GameCube title, it was rearchitectured for the Wii's controllers (which in turn required a right-handed Link to match the control scheme, and that ended up requiring the developers to mirror the entire game). Some will prefer Ocarina of Time, being the first full-3D title in the Zelda series and introducing key gameplay features of the series such as Epona; others prefer the smoother graphics, motion-tracking controls, novel world concept and less linear character progression of Skyward Sword. For me, TwiPrin gets the nod for its gritty, real graphics, rich story with extended NPC roles, and incredibly immersive gameplay, including being the first title to let you actually swing a sword. The game also uses Epona as more than just a mode of transportation and a few mounted mini-game experiences; several set-piece engagements require you to master mounted combat.

Recently I`ve found the Brute Arena, and it`s awesome I should say. You dress your barbarian as you like, give him the best weapons and armor out of a thousand offered and go to the arena to punish your enemies to become a Champion! :creepy: https://brutes.dmnd.games/
