The best I can do is on-line everything is done with people/business on-line. Off-line is you dealing with people off-line and you are trying to help mainly brick business. I hope this makes some kind of sense. As I can picture it in my simple mind but putting it in words is different.

    Re: online and offline marketing?

    Yeah, its a confusing................
As we all spends time on internet so its very hard to differentiate offline with online marketing. bestbook123 and ramesh123 have given very simple definition about offline and online marketing, which I appreciate.

Ok, consider that you are opening a new business, offline business and you have a facebook profile, as everyone has. Generally what we share on our facebook status? - what I am going to do or what is in my mind, all those causal stuffs, right? So logically you will share this news @ your facebook status, intentionally. Then all friends will know about your business. Doing this you have done some marketing job, which is not an offline marketing.

So in that sense if anyone share or discuss about anything about their offline business @ OMF, that will be counted as online marketing.

I think it will be wiser decision if you not differentiate offline with online marketing, keep running both simultaneously.

Thanks for your wonderful explanation about this topic. Actually I completely agree with you that you should not differentiate offline wit online marketing and we should keep running both. It will ease our work little bit and also help us to earn some profit.

Yeah! Online marketing removes the individual customer service, while off-line marketing allows you to join with the customer, thus trust and more probability of repeat business.

Online marketing is doing marketing over the Internet while offline marketing is doing the other way around.

    Re: online and offline marketing?

Online marketing is a form of marketing that makes use of the Internet as a medium of communication of marketing But Offline marketing is other than the Internet as a method of interaction. Offline marketing methods do not require the internet.

    Offline marketing methods includes:
    > Direct Mail
    > Flyers & bulletins
    > Newspaper and magazine advertising
    > Local commercials (TV and radio ads)
    > Brochure etc

    Online marketing methods includes:
    > Email marketing
    > Social media marketing
    > SEO
    > Marketing via Website etc

From the above, I think one can simply see the essential variations between offline marketing and online marketing. Your choice will depend on what your final desired destination. As example, If you choose to sell your products and solutions in your area then you may want to use offline marketing rather than online marketing.

    Re: online and offline marketing?

Nice explanation to differentiate between online and offline marketing. Both are important to reach the customers. Online marketing is mainly useful if you provide the services globally or in a large area. Whereas offline marketing is important in case of local marketing. Advertising your products in the local newspapers, magazines or publishing your company's own magazine can be helpful for branding and promotion of business locally.

I am totally agree with you. I also think that for marketing any business and reaching the customers, both offline and online marketing are so important. Offline marketing is most important for local marketing and getting offline clients. What kind of offline marketing do you use for your local business?
